Personal boundaries are the limits and rules we set for ourselves within a relationship. A person with healthy boundaries can say “no” to others when they want to, but they are also comfortable opening themselves up to intimacy and close relationships.
Last week, Mr. Justin Van Zee from Dove encouraged the CCBN members to think about the boundaries they have with their stakeholders: employees, business partners, owners, creditors and within their own family. They identified boundaries that may be unhealthy and discussed the steps to creating healthier ones including: clearly identify your boundary, understand why you need this boundary, decide the consequence if your boundary is crossed, clearly communicate the boundary and consequence, and address boundary violations quickly.
Thank you to Mr. Van Zee for sharing these valuable lessons that can be applied in day-to-day decisions!
